GETTING MARRIED AT GREENWOOD
ALL WELCOME
HOW TO BEGIN
PREPARING FOR YOUR WEDDING
Congratulations! We would be delighted to host your wedding.
We see people as unique, loved creations of God and we celebrate the marriage of many couples, including same-sex couples, previously divorced couples, and couples of different religions. You don't have to be a church member to get married here. Anyone wishing a Christian ceremony is welcome. We believe marriage is a gift from God: the promise of life-long companionship and love.
Please contact us at least eight weeks before your wedding to schedule a meeting with our minister. To reserve the church, you will be asked to provide a small deposit. You will also need to obtain a marriage license from Access Nova Scotia. Please let us know if you have any questions. We will do our best to help!
Our minister will meet with you at least two or three times prior to your wedding. Together, we will plan your ceremony, including the readings, prayers, and music. You will select life-long vows. Our minister will also discuss ways to prepare for marriage: important conversations that will help you as you begin your marriage. We will make sure your ceremony is sacred and meaningful to you.
